Recycled polyester is made by shredding plastic products into small pieces. These small pieces are then processed into yarn, made into a fiber, and ultimately made into a cloth.

Producing rPet requires 33% to 53% less energy than creating polyester from scratch . Additionally, rPet produces approximately 54.6% less CO2 emissions to the air than virgin polyester .
